Last year, we welcome New Year with cheers and a toast… then we watched the fireworks.

This year, I wanted a toast but we can’t find the wine that we bought.  It was left in the trunk of our car as we discovered a day after.  So this year, we did the countdown and watched the fireworks outside.  This year, Andrea was really ecstatic as her friend Alex was with us to welcome the New Year.

This was the card that we sent to friends and family members.  We mailed it after Christmas.  Time passed me by during the holidays that I wasn’t able to send our holiday cards earlier.

I will always be grateful for being your friend.  Thank you for the friendship.  I always enjoy our chikka times, sharing our journey being a mom and wife.

A wish for a joyful Christmas to you all.

Today is my 5th Christmas here in the USA.  The longing of celebrating it with my family and having a festive celebration still lingers in my heart.  I admit as years pass by, USA Christmas becomes bearable.  I always miss Philippine Christmas but I have resigned to the fact that, USA is my home now and this is where I will celebrate Christmas.

Anyway, we had a great Christmas.  My daughter slept earlier than usual because Santa will come.  So, Santa came and the little girl is so excited of the things inside the stockings and the gifts that Santa brought.

We spent our Christmas day with Mom and Dan.  Santa came there too with more stuff.  My little girl had so much fun opening her presents. After opening presents, I made our Christmas dinner.  It was a simple meal but we all enjoyed it.

I can’t resist but blog this because it gave me a smile when I received this! Yes, through this chocolate which was sent by Mami Dhemz, I suddenly became a billionaire. Awesome!

I don’t want to open this yet because I don’t want to ruin being a billionaire. I will let myself enjoy the billionaire status before I will open this chocolate bar and enjoy its goodness.

This year, I am late in sending the cards because I can’t find a good picture to which I will put in the card. I already send some to family and friends but for those that haven’t received one from us it will be there before 2012 ends (joking).

Yes, my clicking and reading emails paid off. I was able to redeem a $50 Banana Republic GC from MyPoints. I can now go shopping in its outlet store which is near our place. With this amount, I can certainly buy a couple of items.

I love this GC because I can use it in Gap or Old Navy too. So, basically, I have other options if I can’t find something I will like at Banana Republic.

Attending the party every year has always been fun. We share great food. We exchange gifts. We played Filipino games and of course there is the caroling that I always love.
